In 1994, Clara Chan fulfilled her dream of immigrating to Canada from Hong Kong as a teenager. With no family or friends in Canada, she had to start from scratch and focused hard and diligently on her education.  

Shortly after moving from Vancouver to Toronto, she graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Business. She began her career in the financial sector, working for TD Canada Trust, and eventually becoming a Financial Advisor, winning consecutive customer service and top performer achievement awards 

Looking for more meaning in her work and a desire to make greater contributions to the world, she founded a plastic recycling company in Husky Plastics Inc, that focused on diverting plastic waste from landfills. She partnered and worked with many local and federal recycling facilities in North America and Europe, exporting millions of pounds of post-consumer and post-industrial waste to China, Vietnam, South Korea, India and Nigeria, where the material is then processed and made into brand new consumer and industrial products. She has contributed to the recycling of construction material such as PVC window frames, PVC pipes, Disney CD’s and DVD’s, LDPE Walmart shopping bags, LDPE cereal bags, PET water bottles, HDPE milk jugs and caps, Toys from Toys R’US, PVC credit cards and gift cards, EPS styrofoam and trays, LDPE Banana films, auto parts, computer e-waste, and others.  

She also believes that Real Estate is the #1 Investment Vehicle and is an active investor for over 10 years. With a background as an entreprenur and financial advisor, along with a commitment to customer service, she strives to guide and educate home buyers with a stress-free home buying experience and provide support both BEFORE and AFTER the purchase.
